About the 80s Music Section!It's all about the lists of songs, albums, and artists that came out with records in the 80s beginning from the year when pop radio was just overcoming the disco phase and ending with the year bordering on the house and hip hop phase.80s was also about the rise of MTV that shaped the sound of top 40 and rock radio formats, while pop contemporary stalwarts that didn't change with the new youth music wave simply vanished from the airwaves. Behold are lists of what I thought were just about every 80s album that I can find ever recorded in the 80s plus some notable albums from the 80s artists that they put out in the 90s.
Hopefully, coming soon, I will create mini album pages with each page devoted to just
one artist such as Prince, Bangles, Huey Lewis, Madonna (who is still putting out
new material in 2005), Lionel Richie, Van Halen, and more once I can figure out
how I can write a BASIC program that could do the job for me.
